The life of a
Thruxton Firenza
|
In 1972, in an effort to improve Vauxhall’s image to the general public, management gave the go-ahead for the High Performance Firenza Coupe. As
Peter Blincow recalls in the first of a series of short articles, it was to be an image builder that gave some credence to the achievements that Dealer Team Vauxhall were having on the track.
The new car also bridged the gap between production line models and the
Blydenstein-prepared racing saloons, which were driven so enthusiastically by Gerry Marshall. |
